MAXIPOL Gondola

MAXIPOL will use the flight proven MAXIMA gondola. The outer frame (outlined in blue) houses the 1.3 m Gregorian telescope, the 100 mK receiver, the data acquisition electronics, and the attitude control electronics. Elevation pointing is obtained by positioning the inner frame (outlined in green) while azimuthal pointing is provided by a fly wheel at the top of the gondola.
