I am a Post Doc with the Physics Education Research Group at the University of Minnesota, School of Physics and Astronomy. I share my time between University of Minnesota, and the Science Teaching Department at the Weizmann Institute for Science in Israel, where I am a visiting scientist.

I am interested in helping students develop learning skills needed in learning physics. I share this interest with other teachers through year long workshops I developed for high school Physics teachers called "How to learn from mistakes – promoting self monitoring in physics problem solving" (in Hebrew). My research focuses on physics teachers. I currently engage in a project that focus on how physics faculty perceive and address students learning in physics, in particular Physics instructors’ perceptions of problem solving. In my Ph.D I studied professional development of high school physics teachers that collaboratively addressed the pedagogical question: "How can we promote self-monitoring by students in physics problem solving?", with a special interest in professional development in computerized networks.
